Sonagur is a band from Toronto, CA made up of Gabriela Hansen, Melody Hansen, Seth Hunter, Lukas Loskot, and Emily Young; a collection of sounds from everything seen, every person encountered, and every word spoken.

The process began in January 2011. The idea came out of a gathering between Emily, Gabriela, and Melody, and later throughout the year, tunes were created from Melody and Gabriela's rooms and lyrics were being written down. But most of these were incomplete.

It was only around the end of August that Lukas joined in, and with his unique drumming style was able to give a new breath to the tunes. They became alive. After a few months of playing together and rehearsing, songs were given a skeleton. Seth then brought his fresh musical outlook into the group and unified the sound through his knowledge of music and his skills in a variety of instruments. It is also then that the name was found.

In this new year, Sonagur is finally booking shows and beginning the process of recording their first debut album, "Fuller's Earth", to be released later in 2012. They are excited to embark on this new journey and express their stories in all their creative ways - and they will surely not do it alone.
